Rural Investment Strategy 2024

Interact for Health is launching strategic investments to support community-driven change through funding and collaboration with community members, leaders, and organizations within our rural regions.

Our Rural Region

Fourteen out of 20 counties in Interact for Health's service area are considered rural. To be eligible for funding through the Rural Strategy, organizations must serve the following counties:

  • Indiana (Dearborn, Franklin, Ripley, Switzerland, Ohio)
  • Ohio (Clermont, Brown, Adams, Clinton, Highland)
  • Kentucky (Bracken, Gallatin, Grant, Pendleton)

Rural Changemaker Request for Proposal (RFP)

Eligible rural organizations may apply for grants between $10,000 - $100,0000. Grant applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis for a total of up to $800,000 annually. This RFP encourages local solutions to local challenges and empowers communities to drive change. The grant also serves as an avenue to explore new points of engagement and form partnerships. The final deadline for this RFP is Monday, October 7 at 5 p.m.  To view the full RFP, please visit the Open Funding page of our website.

The first round of Rural Changemaker Grant recipients was announced on April 30. Learn more here

Program staff will be available for community office hours to answer any questions about the RFP or an organization’s proposed project:
