Rural Investment Strategy 2024

Interact for Health is launching strategic investments to support community-driven change through funding and collaboration with community members, leaders, and organizations within our rural regions.

Our Rural Region

Fourteen out of 20 counties in Interact for Health's service area are considered rural. To be eligible for funding through the Rural Strategy, organizations must serve the following counties:

  • Indiana (Dearborn, Franklin, Ripley, Switzerland, Ohio)
  • Ohio (Clermont, Brown, Adams, Clinton, Highland)
  • Kentucky (Bracken, Gallatin, Grant, Pendleton)

Rural Changemaker Request for Proposal (RFP)

Eligible rural organizations may apply for grants between $10,000 - $100,0000. Grant applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis for a total of up to $800,000 annually. This RFP encourages local solutions to local challenges and empowers communities to drive change. The grant also serves as an avenue to explore new points of engagement and form partnerships. This funding is now closed for 2024. The final deadline for this RFP was Monday, October 7 at 5 p.m.

The first two rounds of Rural Chagemaker Grants were announced in April 2024 and August 2024

Rural Receptions

As part of the launch of our rural investment strategy, Interact for Health hosted a series of networking events for community members to meet with our team and learn more about this strategy and grant opportunities.

Rural Community Councils

Interact for Health is convening community councils in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana to inform grantmaking efforts and provide feedback on the Rural Investment Strategy.

Event Sponsorship

Ongoing sponsorship will be provided for rural events, enhancing partnerships within rural communities. Funding opportunities will support local initiatives and collaborations, increasing our impact on rural regions. More information on our Event Sponsorship Page.
