
Julian Collins
Community Outreach Officer
As Interact for Health’s Community Outreach Officer, Julian Collins works with Interact staff on smoking cessation projects and provides his expertise on the topic to Interact grantees. He identifies opportunities for community initiatives related to tobacco and implements promising practices, serving as an expert resource.
Previously, Julian spent four years as a program manager with the American Lung Association in Cincinnati. In that role, he trained health professionals regarding lung health and acted as a liaison between the association and community. Julian has also worked as a health educator with Planned Parenthood.
He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in health promotion and education from the University of Cincinnati. Julian is also a Certified Health Education Specialist and Tobacco Treatment Specialist. He serves as the Tobacco-Free Living Co-Chair for the Cincinnati Creating Healthy Communities Coalition.
A native Cincinnatian, Julian’s hobbies include sewing and visiting museums. He also enjoys doing volunteer work throughout the area, including at his church St. Peter’s UCC in Pleasant Ridge.
